Project Runway

The name on everybody's lips is gonna be HeidiHey guys, if you were like me, you probably missed an episode here and there of the excellent reality show, "Project Runway: Season 2". In fact, it is the only reality contest show that I tried to regularly watch. If only it wasn't on at 10 on Wednesday nights, when I had to be up at 5:30 in the morning on Thursday morning. Oh well, that's what these DVD (coming out June 27) and Netflix are for (unless you are a really crazy Santino fanatic, in which you are probably chomping at the bit for this to come out).

Eeek!

I can't believe it's been almost two weeks since I last posted. I must be loosing my touch.

Either that or I'm running out of free time to myself.

But really, it seems like the days just zoom by so quickly now, especially since I'm working five days a week now. I got so used to my four tens with three days off that two days off seems like such a rush. Those weeks just zipped by.

Before I know it, I'll be down in Vegas watching Madonna. Then it's the long stretch of summer, then BAM! It will be my 28th birthday! O.K., maybe I'm being a little melodramatic, but the end of the year will be here before you know it, and I'll be that much closer to 30. That number seems so old now. And here's Brenda telling me it will just get faster after that. Gee, fun.

Tuna Noodle Casserole!!!

My friend Brenda and I have this thing for tuna noodle casserole. I don't know what it is, but it's like a comfort food for us.

And I figured out how to make a pretty good tuna noodle casserole using the recipie on the back of the 12 oz. (Family Size) pack of Starkist Flavor Fresh Pouch tuna. It called for using a pack of that and some other stuff. Unfortunately, the recipie isn't on the back of the 12 oz. package anymore, and the recipie they have online makes a smaller amount (using a 1 and 1/2 quart casserole dish, instead of a 3 quart one), and something seems off.

Does anyone out there have the original recipie found on the back of the 12 oz. package?

Mmmmm...Moose Munch!

Food of the Devil!!!Damn you, Harry and David!!!
I seem to have picked up a new vice to go along with my newly acquired healthy habit.
First with the healthy habit. About four weeks ago, I FINALLY get on that treadmill that has been staring at me for the past couple of years from it's sad, lonely spot in the middle of the friggin' living room. So one day I finally decide to hop on. I have a backlog of T.V. show DVDs in my possession, so I can at least catch up on what's happened on Seinfeld or Friends, since syndication land seems to like playing certain episodes over and over again. If I hear Teri Hatcher tell me that "they are real, and they are spectacular" one more time...
Anyway, so I have been on the treadmill for 30 minutes a day, a minimum of five times a week for the past four weeks. I haven't really lost any weight, but my calves look excellent! In fact, my calves are probably the most fit part of me, because they have to heft all of my fat around on a daily basis.

So here's the problem. Around the same time as I start my new exercise regiment, Harry and David has a 2 for $10 sale on Moose Munch. So what do I do? I wander into the store and buy a couple of bags of the "All Dark Chocolate" Moose Much. And lo and behold, what started out as a once in a while guilty pleasure turns into a bingetastic obsession. I've already blowed through four bags of the suckers almost all by myself (well, at least that's only about a bag a week, but still!!!). I really need to stop, but they are just soooo good!

I think I just realized why I am not loosing any weight yet...

Rejection...is the greatest aphrodisiac

Hit me baby, one more time
Well, the search for fantastic new music starts. Last year, I had Annie, Ringside, and James Blunt jockeying for position as my top song of the year (at least by a new artist, since Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas, and Kanye West were also among my nominees of top songs for last year). Well, thanks to the website PerezHilton.com, I have a new song, "The Rejection", being overplayed on my playlist (much to my sister's dismay). Dangerous Muse is a brand new band hailing from New York (just like Scissor Sisters). Like the Scissor Sisters, they harken back to an age where electro-new wave meets disco was king. If you like pretty boys that sing in the vein of Depeche Mode meets Electric Six meets Fischerspooner, as remixed by the Scissor Sisters, give Dangerous Muse a spin. Sample some of their music by visiting their MySpace page, which has an exclusive "Disco Mix" of "The Rejection", or go ahead and buy their EP on iTunes now. And come back here at the end of the year to see if they make it on my "best of" list.

Queen of the Dancefloor

Like It Or Not
I got my tickets to Madonna's Confessions Tour. So I'll now be in Vegas on May 27. They aren't the greatest seats in the world (probably because I didn't pay the highest tier price of $375!!!!), But how many times in my life am I going to go and see Madonna live (well, 3 times now, once in Vegas for the Drowned World Tour, and twice in San Jose for the Re-Invention tour).
Anyway, it's friggin Madonna!!!
WOOOOOO!!!!

Confess

Confess Yourself, Don't Repress YourselfWoo Hoo!!!!
Tickets to Madonna's Confessions Tour go on sale tomorrow, so I'll be up bright and early with bells on to try to get tickets to the Saturday, May 27 show down in good old Vegas! So none of you bitches take my tickets, O.K.? Now to plan for airline tickets and hotel accommodations...

"I'm Still Here"

Just so you all know that I'm still alive (since I haven't posted anything in over two weeks! My how the time flies!), I have this mini post. I don't even think it should even count as an official post, since all I'm gonna tell you all to do is to go and buy "Brokeback Mountain," which comes out (ha ha) on Tuesday. And if that isn't gay enough for you all, then "Liza With a Z" comes out on Tuesday also. It's got a shiny cover...
