Dancing with the (Bad) Stars?

OK, so I haven't written anything here for a few weeks, so sue me!

What is more surprising is the little mundane things that inspire me to write in here anyways.

Like today's topic...

Whoever out there that seriously thinks that Kelly Monaco should actulally advance any further in ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" is either very sick, on crack, or (most likely) both!

Now don't get me wrong, Kelly may actually be a very nice and pleasant person, and she may even be a decent actor (though I wouldn't really know, since I never watch "General Hospital" or whatever soap she's on), but anyone can clearly see that out of all the celebrity dancers that are left in competition, she is the weakest. She doesn't have very good lines, and her dancing seems very forced. Granted, if she had more practice, she could possibly turn out to be a pretty decent dancer (and I am not one to judge, since I haven't actually done any of these dances myself, much less learn them in a weeks time, but then, do any of us really have that much time?) but out of everyone left, she doesn't seem to be as pleasant to watch as all the others.

I cannot believe that she has even survived this long anyway. Here we are in week four of the competition. She really should have been the first to be eliminated. She has consistently ranked very low with each of the judges (by the way, go Carrie!!! Gotta support my past Madonna back-up dancers!), with each of them giving her harsh critiques, from the first week where she danced with a very dour expression, to the second week, where she doesn't move in fluid lines. Kelly must have the most ardent fan base in the world (well, at least America). I mean, Rachel Hunter (who I was gonna bet my life would make it to the final two with John O'Hurley) has always gotten rave reviews from the judges, and she is struck down this week? Come on voters!!! Wake up and actually see who is really dancing, and who is merely phoning in their moves.

So far, Trista was the first voted off (and I agree with this, she was pretty weak, but I did think that she was stronger than Kelly!), and Evander (who was very amusing to watch dance. He is by no means a very good dancer, but I have to admire his courage to go on there in front of millions and move his huge, muscular, almost ogre like body in the name of a dance competition. I nearly laughed myself to death watching him do the Jive). And now, one of my favorites, Rachel, is voted off. Just goes to prove that there is no justice in the world. Either that or America does not really know how to vote, but alas, that is a subject for another time (or another blogger).

In conclusion, since one of my favorites is not booted off the show, I have no choice but to tell all you sane, rational people who watch the show to please vote for John O'Hurley or Joey McIntyre (God, I never thought I'd actually be telling people to vote for Joey McIntyre for anything!). If Kelly somehow advances to the finals, or (Heaven forbid) wins, I am gonna boycot phone in voting forever (kinda like how I already boycot "American Idol").
